Walking in the Jungle Text

These are the words for our Walking in the Jungle text.  We will be sending this home or you can print off a copy from here.

When you look at this text with your child, see if they can hunt for the numbers 1, 2 and 3.  Can they see any letters from their name?  Can they find the word "Stop!"  or the word "jungle"?

This week, we will be learning more about the animals in the song.  Here are a few toucan facts to get started:

Toucans can be found in the tropical forests of South America.

Toucans use their beak to peel and eat different kinds of fruit.

Sometimes toucans will choose to eat insects, frogs, and reptiles, or the eggs of other birds

A toucan's beak can measure up to 20 cm long and it makes up 1/3 of the bird's total length

Toucans can not fly very well and they often hop along the ground instead!

Look at the pictures below.  What is the same about all the toucans?  What are the differences between them?
