Dear Parents/Carers

It doesn’t seem possible that we are now into the last half term of the school year and it will certainly be a very busy few weeks. A number of trips have already been booked and there are more to follow. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to hold the summer fayre this year or any other events involving parents/ carers but will still be running activities that you can get involved in , such as the sunflower growing competition, a raffle and voting for ‘Gunge the Teacher’.

In school, we plan to hold as many of the usual end of school events with the children as possible, including a few new ones, so this should be a fun-packed half term for them.

To help us ensure that as many children as possible can participate, please ensure that you continue to follow all of the COVID guidance and remember to social distance and wear face masks when on the school site.

Thank you for your ongoing support

Dear parents and carers,

We have almost made it to the end of the term and Christmas is just around the corner! It has certainly been a very strange term with many of the children having to spend some time learning from home. I believe the close working between parents and the school has ensured that all children have continued to receive a good education and have had lots of exciting learning opportunities. Thank you so much for your support! I hope you enjoy reading about the children’s achievements in this longer than usual newsletter, which also includes important COVID information. I wish you all a safe, relaxing Christmas and a happy New Year!

Dear parents and carers,

It is the end of the first half term! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support in helping to keep the Surrey Street children, staff and other parents/carers as safe as possible at this difficult time, and also for the support that you are providing at home to help your children to catch up on lost learning.
I am also keen that you have the information that you need to keep you and your families safe over the half term, so the first part of the newsletter will provide information about that; the rest of the newsletter will share some of the children’s recent achievements.
I wish you all a very happy and safe half term holiday.

Dear parents and carers,

This is a special newsletter, which will be published instead of our monthly celebration assemblies which sadly can’t take place for the time being. The children have all been working incredibly hard so there’s lots to celebrate. I hope you enjoy sharing in the children’s success.

Best wishes
Mrs L Adams
