Spelling

 

Spelling is a high focus and children have daily lessons as well as constant modelling of spelling strategies in their daily writing lessons. We focus on spelling rules as well as high frequency and statutory words that need to be learnt. We also have a high focus on revision and regularly recap rules and words we have covered previously.

 

Parents are encouraged to support their child’s spelling by practising spellings sent home with the children each week.
