We will be doing athletics to prepare for sports day and orienteering.

Our PE days are:

CrimsonTuesday and Wednesday

Magenta Monday and Wednesday

VermillionMonday and Tuesday

Please ensure children have the correct kit in school for when they need it.

Homework

As we are preparing the children for their end of primary school assessments and their transition to high school, we do have slightly higher homework expectations than they may have experienced before.

We check this every week and any homework not completed will be completed during breaks and lunchtimes at school with support from staff.

We will offer lunchtime clubs for children to stay in to complete any of their homework if they choose to.

This is the homework children will be expected to do:

Children need to read at home at least 3 times per week and log

this on BoomReader

Children need to learn their spellings each week.

Children will be given maths and reading comprehension homework every Friday and this is due in the following Wednesday.

  • Children need to complete 20 minutes of TT Rockstars.

Thank you for your support with your child’s learning.

Planned Trips

On the afternoon of Friday 17th May, we will be going to the park for the afternoon to celebrate the children completing their SATs.

Dates for your diary

Children will sit their SATs Monday 13th May- Thursday 16th May.

Every morning of SATs week children can come in for a free breakfast from 8am. Information about this has been shared on Class Dojo.
